Power supply
Modified By Ant on 2/18/2009 1:21:29 PM)

The AMI can be powered by

  • +5 V DC supply
  • PoE supply (optional), PSE class 0..3, max. 9 W @ 5 V DC, 1800 mA
  • USB power supply

The +5 V DC regulated power supply plug, min. 1200 mA, max. 2000 mA can be applied on COM1, COM2, COM3, P4.3, P7.1 according to your need.

The PoE power over ethernet supply requires the optional PoE module to be soldered in.

Power over USB is supported by using our USB-flash cable (supplies voltage on P7.1) but be careful!

ATTENTION: USB max. supply power is 500 mA - consumption of the AMI mainly depends on display content! Black screen (<300 mA) - HardwareInfoSample screen (<400 mA) are OK, but all white screen (1800 mA) exceeds USB specification by far!

ATTENTION: All white screen (1800 mA) exceeds the specification of the power plug that comes with the DevKit (1200 mA) as well. Follow the OLED design guidelines for GUI-design and you will not have any power issues - typical images show 700-900 mA power consumtion.
