The DevKit is configured to ONLY work with Ethernet debugging and DHCP. We have good experience with all kind of ADSL-routers and hardware routers. You can still try some (even free) software DHCP-server on your PC but please make sure you also open up the Windows firewall and please understand that we can not give much support on that third party DHCP-servers. Whenever possible use a hardware DHCP server like your ADSL-router or a corporate server.

If you want to use serial debugging (e.g. you want to build a system without Ethernet like our drink dispenser) you can do that with the DBGU-serial port! In this case you need to change the .NET Micro Framework binaries to the serial debugging ones by reflashing your board with SAM-BA. The serial binaries are available in our "Binaries" package that we provide and as a download from the web-page. Please follow the firmware manual for details. You should only do this if you really need - serial deployment and debugging are slow.
